Blues and Yellows are SO complimentary to each other; I have always loved pairing them. I've had my eye on this pencil skirt by Tibi for a while now and was very excited to finally get it styled to completion (nail polish and all).
I love how the skirt highlights the Empire state building and demands attention in a bold yellow with the remainder of the cityscape in blacks and whites. I thought the contemporary trim of the sleeveless top by Witchery.com and laced detailing brought a feminine touch to this outfit. The clutch by House of Harlow 1960 features a leather and canvas chevron design in blue and gold. The flashy sophistication of the 4 1/2 inch heels by Michael Antonio pulls this outfit together and grounds it with the black capped toe.
The accessories feature gunmetal sapphire pave crystal earrings and necklace by South Paw Studios. I really wanted to throw in something really trendy and daring and thought the hard lines of the thick studded gold bracelet by House of Harlow 1960 and the triple stacked gold rings available at Macy's did the trick. The final touch is the oh so fun "Mellow Yellow" Sally Hansen nail polish.
