One of a kind - A modern take on traditionally cut opal gemstones. This pendant is hand-cut sterling silver accented with linear details to give it an abstract element. The pendant has been antiqued to bring out the detailing of the lines surrounding the Opal doublet. The one-of-a-kind pendant is draped on an antiqued 24-inch sterling silver chain. 

What is a doublet: A doublet is a stone made of two materials. The top layer is the natural sheet of the gemstone that is adhered to a secondary layer. Doublets are not solid all the way through. They offer a cost-effective way to enjoy a treasured gemstone such as Opal. 

Opal care: Special care has to be taken when cleaning Opals. DO NOT submerge Opals in liquids. They are a slightly porous stone. Plus use a polishing cloth to clean the surrounding metal setting if tarnishing starts to occur. DO NOT use a jewelry dip or ultrasonic cleaner.
